Carol has more than 25 years in human
resource management, both in a corporate HR management role and as a
consultant. She was an associate and managing consultant with the Columbus,
Ohio office of William H. Mercer, Inc., an international consulting firm
specializing in employment issues. Her
career began in the Human Resources department of the American Bar Association
headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
She established The HR Center in 2005 to
meet a variety of human resource consulting needs in Central Ohio. Carol’s
current clients include companies the manufacturing, engineering, business
services, high tech, and healthcare arenas. Her areas of expertise include
compensation programs, including job evaluation, salary structure design,
performance management, criterion-based performance appraisal, time off
programs, and policy development. She has assisted several organizations in
writing Employee Handbooks and in developing strategies for benefit programs.
For smaller companies, she has served as the outsourced human resource manager
for several companies in start-up or transition mode.
Carol has a BS in personnel administration
from Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago, and a Master’s degree in Human
Resource Development at National Louis University, Evanston, Illinois. For more
than two years, she instructed undergraduate classes in wage and salary
administration at Franklin University.
